February 2018 Meeting Notes
Meeting called to order by President Fred Benninghoff. 36 members present.
All board members present except Treasurer Gary Nienhuis, who is travelling and therefore the report is not available.
Membership Chairman Duane reported that we currently have 109 members.
Duane also reported that we will have a new Roster Book in August dependant upon printer services. Request that members who don’t have their car’s picture for the Roster Book or the website need to send a jpeg/jpg picture to him one (1) picture of the car for every member. New members will also receive a name tag
Sunshine Chairwoman Lana has sent a “Thinking of You”card to Chuck Stone and Alma Williams.
Social Chairwoman Deanna is travelling and no report is available.
Secretary Ron reported that there was no new activity.
Auto Tech Guy: Ron provided a GM HEI distributor and demonstrated how the rotor and gear tooth relationship could be 180 degrees off. This item is explained in detail on the Whidbey Cruzer website.
Harry Abbott gave a detailed talk about the 55 Chevy’s design which could literally be a death trap in an accident.
Harry also talked about two outfits that do powder coating and that he has used their services and recommends them. (1) Northshore Maintenance, 360-757-8619, Burlington and (2) APC Powder Coating , 360-398-1460, Bellingham.

Jimmy Flowers was acknowledged and thanked for letting the Koffee Klatch group use his facility.
Bruce Biddle won the 50/50 raffle.
Our next meeting is, March 6th, at VFW Post in Oak Harbor at 7pm.
Members are encouraged to wear the oldest military cap/hat that they had while in the military.
